You and your sister-in-law had planned a girls’ trip to Spain a few months before you found out you were pregnant, but since you got pregnant, she had gifted the vacation to you and Luke.

The two of you decided to use it as a baby moon-your the last trip together before the babies come. You had fallen in love with Spain when you visited a few years ago and were excited to share that with Luke.

Your flight was set to leave at 3:30, so your sister-in-law picked you and Luke up at 12:30 to take you to the airport. The flight was just over an hour before a layover in Washington. From there, you only flew another hour before laying over in Newark. That layover was 3 hours; you vlogged for part of it but fell asleep against Luke for most of it. Finally, you flew overnight into Zurich, arriving there at 11:40 am. With an hour and thirty-minute layover, you and Luke had a quick breakfast, and then you continued vlogging while Luke read a book. The last leg of flying began at 1:15, which got you into Barcelona at 3pm.

Days two and three were much more eventful as you spent your time in Barcelona. The first stop was the Sagrada Familia; you and Luke both took pictures as close as you could get. You wanted to document this trip. You took out your vlogging camera to film the next part of your adventure. You had lunch at a cute café before you made your way to Park Güell. You walked hand in hand through the park. Most of the walk was spent marvelling at the beautiful mosaics and the architecture and materials to make the park sustainable. As you guys walked past the playground, a smile grew on your face when the sounds of shrieking and laughter met your ears. Luke leaned down and whispered;

“Soon…” with an equally big smile on his face. Your last stop for the day was Casa Batló, a home built during the period known as ‘The Bone of Contention.’

The third day in Barcelona had more of an early start. Room service brought up breakfast while you got ready. A flowy dress, sandals, sunglasses, and you were prepared for the day. Today was a vlogging day. First on the list was a trip down Las Ramblas. It was packed full of people. You took your time admiring the street artists and even took some pictures with human statues. Then, you continued down, looking for the Miró part of Las Ramblas. You found the circular mosaic and made sure to take a picture.

Next was a visit to La Baquería for lunch. It was around 10 when you first walked in, just looking around. You and Luke only spent about an hour there, which was good because it started to get super packed as you were walking out around 11. You made your way, bellies full, to the Gothic Quarter to visit the Cathedral of Barcelona. Ducking into little artisan shops along the way. After checking in to the new hotel, you freshened up and then went for a power nap. When you got up, you changed, and then the exploring began. Day one in Sevilla you visited the Réal Alcázar, the Seville Cathedral, Plaza España and el Barrio de Santa Cruz, but not leaving without ducking into la Iglesia de Santa Cruz.

Day two in Sevilla was spent touring Casa Palacio de Dueñas, touring the Casa de Pilatos, a permanent residence for the Dukes of Medinaceli. After dinner, you ended the night with an impromptu flamenco show during an evening paseo.

Day three was actually a day trip to Córdoba from Sevilla; this was also a filming day for you. You had breakfast with Luke at a quaint café before heading to the Mezquita.
